Itinerary — Trekking tour Vietnam 2 days: TP.HCM – Vĩnh Long – Cái Bè – Bến Tre (by bike)
DAY 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cái Bè – Vĩnh Long
- 07:30 – Pickup at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to Cai Lậy (about 90 minutes, 75 km).
- Start cycling (over 40 km for the day) on paved country roads, past vegetable gardens and fruit farms such as star apple and sapodilla.
- Follow concrete canal paths further south, stopping at a busy local market and meeting craft workers along the way.
- Lunch with a village family, cooked with ingredients from the nearby market.
- After lunch, take a boat to An Bình Island and check in to a homestay in a traditional Mekong Delta house.
- Free afternoon to stroll around or help your hosts prepare a Vietnamese dinner; dinner and overnight at the homestay.
DAY 2: Vĩnh Long – Bến Tre – Ho Chi Minh City
- Breakfast at the homestay, then a short boat trip to Bến Tre, the Mekong Delta's famous land of coconuts and plant nurseries.
- Your driver meets you on the other side of the river for a transfer to Chợ Lách District, Bến Tre (about 1 hour).
- Back on the bikes (over 40 km), ride past riverside garden homes and villages.
- Cross narrow canals by local sampan, then take a ferry across the wide Cổ Chiên River.
- Lunch at a local restaurant, then transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City (about 2 hours).
- 17:00–18:00 – Arrive back at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
