Itinerary — Bến Tre & Mỹ Tho full-day tour
DAY 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Mỹ Tho – Bến Tre – Ho Chi Minh City
- From Ho Chi Minh City, drive about 1.5 hours along National Highway 1 past rice fields to the countryside of Trung Lương.
- In Mỹ Tho, visit Vĩnh Tràng Pagoda.
- Take a motorboat through Bảo Định canal into Mỹ Tho, then cruise the Tiền River to view the four islets of Long, Lân, Quy and Phụng (Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise and Phoenix).
- Lunch at a local restaurant.
- Visit a coconut candy workshop, then glide along small canals on a hand-rowed sampan in the shade of nipa palms.
- Enjoy seasonal fruit and honey tea while locals perform southern đờn ca tài tử folk music.
- Return by bus to Ho Chi Minh City, end of tour.
